Matt's earliest memory of woodworking was watching his Grandfather "Harry" Langley tinkering away in his workshop. At an early age, Matt's grandfather taught him how to use both hand and power tools , and Matt got the woodworking bug and started to make projects for his family.
With his grandfathers inspiration, Matt continued to refine his woodworking and finishing skills through school, University and over two decades working in Software Industry. Now as a full-time Maker, Matt designs and creates beautiful handmade furniture and utilitarian pieces as well as repairs and refinishes furniture. |
I enjoy every step in a project; starting with early concept sketches, 3D drawings, hand selecting and milling the rough lumber, joinery to applying oil or finish to make a the grain pop.” |
